Safari Porsche buffer image. The politics aren’t that polarizing in here, just asking questions.

I can’t seem to find a definitive answer on this as everything I’m pulling up is from the election 2 years ago but here it is:

Does Trump/ any in the government have an actual plan for the wall?

Hypothetically, they get the 5 billion budget approved and where do they go from there? Do they just start building a wall wherever they feel like it?

Is part of that 5 bil to get it in to the planning phases?

I keep just hearing “BUILD A WALL” or “NO WALL” and am struggling to find non sensationalist articles about it.

I think they’ve ignored the easy answer of building a moat and using the dirt from the moat as a way to build a tall hill that’s almost a wall.

They have built some wall...er...”metal slat” samples. Think of the problem of actually building it kind of like an electric vehicle startup. Lots of promises, a slick prototype and not much else.

None of the above I think. They prototyped a number of designs, but I don’t think they ever picked a winner, if they did, it’s irrelevant since Trump is talking about a slatted barrier instead now (numerous variations of this design already exist, though I don’t believe any are as big as what he’s proposing). There was supposed to be a study regarding the effectiveness of a wall, and other planning aspects, but the administration is refusing to release the results of that. $5B is nowhere near enough to do the whole thing, so they would obviously need to prioritize.

I’ve seen those, but I have A LOT of designs for what it could be. Certainly seems like if I were to say “I’m going to build a flying electric cars! Give me money. It will work ” with absolutely no business plan or proof of concept. Ok maybe something like this to show them :

Thanks! That at least gets me some numbers on what they are planning to do with all the money they want . I know the 5bil is basically getting a start and was never to cover the entire cost which was mostly why I was wondering what they planned to start with

We need to approve accepting the check from Mexico? I don’t know. I never saw that (Mexico paying for the wall) going through but now that he is going through with shutting down the government for a fraction of what he actual wants and getting us to pay for it I want to know details.

I had a friend who grew up in Nogale s Arizona. As she would say “only someone stupid would try and bring drugs across the border. The professionals tunnel.” So unless t he wall goes 50 feet down. It will do shit to stop drugs.

They are going to do whatever it takes no matter what. Build a wall 50 feet down? They will dig 60 feet. Those tunnels are so elaborate it’s not like they don’t have the technical ability and money to go under it.

a) they dug a mile long tunnel to bust that guy out jail. So you build a wall, then what? make a 2 mile no mans land?

b) a sandwich baggie can contain 400k worth of fentanyl. At this point drugs are unstoppable. The best solution is to cut down the driver and offer real treatment options.
